Tutoring Services in Marin County
I specialize in providing one-on-one, multi-sensory tutoring that is individualized according to the specific needs of each student. My focus is on teaching K-4 students the fundamental skills which are essential for academic success. These skills include the foundational skills of reading and reading comprehension, writing, math, as well as strategies for focusing and maintaining motivation. I also offer specialized programs for students with ADHD, Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities.
Each student is assessed to determine strengths and academic deficiencies, which is then followed by an individualized program, designed to address the student’s specific needs. These individualized programs are research-based and include various techniques which make the learning experience more meaningful and joyful. The Sonday program and Anita Archer’s techniques, as well as specific strategies for executive functioning and auditory processing, are integrated into these programs, especially when catering to the needs of students with dyslexia and language-based learning disabilities.
As students progress through school, their academic demands increase rapidly. Research proves that teaching them scientific-based strategies for developing core academic skills can mitigate future challenges as well as help them excel as they continue their education. My mission is to help each individual student reach these goals.

As a parent who was always struggling in math, I was hoping my 8 year old daughter would have a better grasp of it. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I am so incredibly grateful to “Miss C” for her patience in teaching Lucie that math does not need to be difficult and can actually be a lot of fun once being shown the correct ways to understand it. Now not only is she doing better in school, she cannot wait for tutoring sessions!
